More on Solar Water Heaters

February 14, 2012 | No Comment |

In today’s world, solar heaters can save you a lot of troubles and money. However, the best thing about solar water heaters is that in addition to the benefits they offer you, they are also extremely environmental friendly. On average, a household with four people need an electronic water heater that consumes approximately 6,400 kilowatt hours of electricity annually, just to heat up water. This kind of electricity has to be generated by a power plant with an efficiency of 30%. In addition, it is also a known fact that an electric water heater produces about eight toms of carbon dioxide annually. They, therefore, pollute the environment at a very high level and should be replaced at all costs.

Water Heaters for Solar

A solar water heater reduces the amount of pollution, since it does not produce high levels of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Therefore, with the solar water heater, you will be able to heat your water, without incurring high costs or polluting the environment. Installation of a solar water heater might not seem appealing at the moment, but it will save you a lot of money in the end.

As a result of their ability to save money and the environment, solar water heaters are increasingly becoming very popular. Another good thing about these heaters is that they can work in any climate. The only thing that is required is that there should be enough sunlight and that you should be eligible for an upgrade.

It should, therefore, be noted that a solar water heater is an investment that will save you a lot of money in the end. The amount spent on the heater can be got back in the amount of money saved in electricity bills in as little as a year. However, before you decide to install your heater, you should learn about your building codes for the zone. This is essential, because your water heater should not exceed the zoning levels. Also, important to note is that saving the environment and saving on water heating costs are two different things. Both these issues are separate benefits of having a solar water heater.

Your hot water energy consumption is reduced between 50% and 90%, depending on the area in which you are living. As is noted, this is more than the amount that you need to produce and will save you a lot on water heating costs. It should also be noted that is the amount of energy you use is reduced, you will save a lot of money on a daily basis, which will be very advantageous to you in the end, given the fact that the costs of energy keep on increasing on a daily basis. Given the fact that the energy from the sun is less costly and natural, it does not present any harm to the environment. Therefore, the more you save on energy, the more beneficial it is for the environment.

All in all, it should be noted that the sun’s energy is free to all and can be used by anyone. It is, therefore, cheap and easily accessible. A solar water heater will save you a lot of money and energy in the end. Given the fact that it is a market that is growing constantly, you should give it a try before its prices also go up.
